“Females mostly.” What was Elvis talking about?
ELVIS TRIVIA:
In what year was “A Big Hunk o’Love” nominated for a Grammy?
ELVIS HISTORY:
Monday 9 AUGUST 1954
One month ago, on a Friday, July 9th, 1954, The B side for Elvis’s first record was probably produced although the exact date is unclear. It was Bill Monroe’s bluegrass classic in waltz tempo: “Blue Moon of Kentucky.” On July 4,th the previous Sunday, Elvis arrived at Scotty Moore’s Belz Avenue apartment and sang every song he knew. Neither Scotty or Bill Black were impressed.

Second Day Of Early Voting In Fernandina Beach, Florida
I wanted to wear my “Elvis Wants You” T-shirt (The one with Elvis wearing pointing in the Uncle Sam stance wearing an Uncle Sam outfit) but that would confuse voters and they would write in Elvis’s name and he would be a cinch for office.
I am an EVID operator which means I look at people’s driver’s licenses as they come in to vote. I can’t help looking at the men whose birth date is 1935. People are always saying, ‘I wonder what Elvis would look like today?’ I think he would look a lot like Vernon did in his later years—in other words, terrific. Just look at Sean Connery (81) and others who have aged really well. The men on Amelia Island age extremely well.
I was asked yesterday what my favorite Elvis song is. I have so many, but “Moody Blue” would sure be up there with “I’ll Remember You.” “Moody Blue” and “Suspicious Minds” were written by the same songwriter. The answer will be in tomorrow’s blog.
