By this time, Scotty Moore was the manager and booking agent for the new group composed of Elvis, Scotty, and Bill Black. He was also Elvis’s personal manager. At age 19, Elvis was listed on the contract as a singer of reputation and renown and “possesses bright promise of large success.” Elvis’s parents signed the contract along with Elvis since he was a minor.

Ted Torres’ show last night in Zellwood, Florida was the official sendoff for the Ultimate Tribute Artist competition in Memphis during 2012 Elvis Week.

The bracelet: The Ted Torres Roustabout Fan Club with President Sue Manuszak and Vice President Arelia Sayer at the helm, arranged a big surprise for Ted. Marion Cock took diamonds out of a bracelet she owned and had them added to the bracelet they presented to Ted.

Marion is such a big Ted fan that when she can’t attend his shows, she has him phone her from the stage while singing—and she listens while smiling a huge, but poignant, smile.

A big, fun hit in his show is always, “Devil in Disguise” with a fan surprising him by playing the ‘devil’. Ted always looks like he is going to faint.
