DATELINE: North Carolina
Remembering Friday 21 September 2012
ELVIS QUOTE:
“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. I might be herding sheep next year.”
ELVIS TRIVIA:
Which Beatle yelled out (from the stage at Madison Square Garden) “We Love You, Elvis?” while performing Hound Dog?
ELVIS HISTORY:
24 March 1955
Elvis gave an interview to one of the two most popular disk jockey’s in the U.S. DJ Bill Randle. (The other was Alan Freed.) Randle had been the first DJ outside of the South to air one of Elvis’s records, but he had constantly refused to spin the records in NYC. Now, he finally caved in to the overwhelming response, and Elvis’s records hit the Big Apple.
NORTH CAROLINA:
Friday 21 September 2012
Today we will load onto a bus at 7:30. l go to the sessions on Human Trafficking, Cold Cases, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Arms Training. There are many other classes and I want to take them all. I wanted to take Underwater Evidence Recovery but the rumor is that they kill one of the students and use them for a teaching tool.
JOKE OF THE DAY:
A woman found a little lamp and out popped Genie. “I will grant you three wishes.”
“I wish I was the most beautiful 20 year old woman in the world, that I had lots of money, and my cat was the most handsome prince around.”
Poof: She was certainly beautiful & surrounded with scads of money.
Then she turned to her adoring cat. There in the feline’s place stood a tall, dark, handsome man with chiseled features, a washboard stomach, broad shoulders, and a soccer-players-tush. She walked over to him, he put his arms around her, brushed his hand upon her cheek, looked deep into her eyes, and whispered softly, “Now, aren’t you sorry that you had me neutered?”

TIP OF THE DAY:
Whimsical teacup bird feeder:
You’ll need a 24” copper pipe w cap to push into the ground. Get a pretty cup & saucer from garage sale/ flea market. Apply strong glue to the saucer area where the cup sits, press cup into place and wait for it to bond. Apply glue to the pipe cap and hold saucer until it’s dry. Planting flowers around the copper pipe makes the scene even prettier. Choose a sheltered place you can see from your house. Fill cup with bird seed.
